Hardware stamping dies are classified according to the degree of process combination


According to the classification of the degree of process combination, the mold can be divided into four categories: single-process mold, composite mold, progressive mold and transfer mold.


1. Single-process mold: In one stroke of the press, only one stamping process is completed.


2. Transfer mold: integrating the characteristics of single-process mold and progressive mold, the use of manipulator transfer system to achieve rapid in-mold transmission of products, which can greatly improve the production efficiency of products, reduce the production cost of products, save material costs, and stable and reliable quality.


3. Progressive die (also known as continuous die): In the feeding direction of the blank, there are two or more stations, and in one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are completed successively at different stations.


4. Composite mold: there is only one station, and in one stroke of the press, two or more stamping processes are completed at the same time in the same station.



Hardware stamping dies are classified according to the nature of the process


According to the classification of process properties, it is divided into punching die, bending die, stretching die, forming die, riveting die.


1. Bending die: make the sheet blank or other billet bend deformation along the straight line (bending line), so as to obtain a mold of a certain angle and shape of the workpiece.


2. Forming mold: It is a mold that directly copies and forms the blank or semi-finished workpiece according to the shape of the convex and concave mold, and the material itself only produces local plastic deformation. Such as expansion mold, shrinking die, flaring die, undulating forming die, flanging die, shaping die, etc.


3. Deep drawing die: It is a mold that makes the sheet blank into an open hollow part, or makes the hollow part further change the shape and size.


4. Blanking die: a mold that separates the material along the closed or open contour line. Such as blanking die, punching die, cutting die, cutting die, cutting die, cutting die, etc.


5. Riveting mold: It is to borrow external force to connect or lap together the participating parts in a certain order and way, and then form a whole.



Hardware stamping dies are classified according to the processing method of the product


According to the different processing methods of metal stamping products, the mold can be divided into five categories: punching and shearing mold, bending mold, extraction mold, forming mold and compression mold.


1. Bending die: is to bend the flat blank into an angle shape, depending on the shape, accuracy and production of the part, there are a variety of different forms of mold, such as ordinary bending die, cam bending die, crimping die, arc bending die, bending seam die and twisting die.


2. Forming mold: refers to the use of various local deformation methods to change the shape of the blank, the form of which includes convex forming die, crimping forming die, neck forming die, hole flange forming die, round edge forming die, etc.


3. Extraction mold: Extraction mold is to make a flat raw embryo into a seamless container with a bottom.


4. Punching and shearing die: it is to complete the work by shearing, and the commonly used forms are shearing die, cutting die, punching die, trimming die, whole edge die, drawing die and punching die.


5. Compression mold: it is the use of strong pressure to make the metal blanks flow deformed and become the required shape, and its types include extrusion dies, embossed dies, stamping dies, and end stamping dies.
